Proposal Form 1. What is your name as you would like it to appear in the byline for your article? 2. What is your proposed title? (Please keep in mind that titles should be simple, encyclopedia-type titles, like "Tertullian," "The Council of Chalcedon," "Logos Theology," "The Church of Santa Sabina," etc. For entries about particular works, please use the author's name followed by the work, e.g., "Augustine's Confessions" or "Tertullian's Against Praxeas." For entries about particular theological points belonging to a thinker, please use the author's name followed by the word "on" and then the issue in question, e.g., "Thomas Aquinas on the Trinity" or "Origen on Original Sin.") 3. Please provide an abstract outlining the main points of your article, or if you prefer, include the complete article here. (If you wish to submit proposals for several related articles, you may list them individually here, rather than filing separate forms for each.) 4. 5. If your article is accepted, you will be given an invitation to join the Editorial Board of the Ecole Initiative. The Editorial Board's principal role is to accept or reject article proposals for the encyclopedia, though some Board members may opt for a higher level of involvement. The Board is administrated over email. If your article is accepted, will you wish to join the Editorial Board? (If you answer "yes" to this question, your name will be added to the mailing list "ecole-editors".) 6. If your article is accepted, you will have the option of maintaining your article for yourself. Will you wish to maintain your article yourself? (If you answer "no" to this question, the Editorial Board will find someone to maintain your article for you.) 7. If you wish to maintain the article yourself, you will be added to the mailing list "ecole-writers" so that you can receive the Ecole Link Updates needed to update the links in your article. Do you agree to be added to this list? 8. Do you agree that your article will be formatted according to the layout of the encyclopedia as a whole? 9. If you opt to maintain your article yourself, do you agree to update your article on a regular basis to reflect new links, if necessary? 10. Do you agree to retaining your own copyright under the following rubric: "Copyright © 1995, Author Name. This file may be copied on the condition that the entire contents, including the header and this copyright notice, remain intact." 11. Do you welcome questions, comments and/or observations about your article from Ecole readers? (If you answer "yes" to this question, a small mail icon will be put after your name at the bottom of your article inviting readers to send their comments.)
